OAS – Republic of Macedonia Undergraduate Scholarship 2018 Programme

The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHDEE) and the University for Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” (UIST) are offering scholarships to qualified candidates of the Americas to participate in the undergraduate scholarship programmes at the following faculties:

  1. Faculty of Communication Networks and Security (CNS);
  2. Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE);
  3. Faculty of Information Systems, Visualization, Multimedia and Animation (ISVMA)
  4. Faculty of Information and Communication Science (ICS)
  5. Study Program of Digital Business Informatics (DBI)
  6. Faculty of Applied IT, Machine Intelligence and Robotics (AITMIR)
  7. Study Program of E-Government, E-Business and E-Culture

The modality of the programmes is onsite, Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia and the language of instruction is English.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this scholarship opportunity, an applicant must:

  1. Be a citizen and/or permanent legal resident of Saint Lucia;
  2. Not be older than twenty-two (22) years old;
  3. Have a good knowledge of the English Language, Mathematics and Information Technology and motivation to study in Macedonia;
  4. Submit proof of application for admission to an undergraduate programme of UIST;
  5. Submit a complete online scholarship application to OAS with all required supporting documents;
  6. Not be an OAS staff or individual who maintains employment contracts with the OAS or a staff of a Permanent Mission to the OAS or immediate relatives of a staff of a Permanent Mission to the OAS; and
  7. Not to be current OAS scholarship holder.

BENEFITS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

  • Full tuition fees;
  • Visa and resident permit fees (proof of good health and immunization chart is required);
  • Primary Healthcare Insurance;
  • Return air fare from the applicant’s home country;
  • Accommodation and food (full board) at the University’s dorm “Nikola Karev” in Ohrid, the Republic of Macedonia for 10 months per year, as well as for the months of July and August if the student does not return home;
  • Monthly allowance of 5000 MKD (approximately $82 Euros or $105 USD) for 9 months per year.
