Blue Waters St Lucia is inviting suitably qualified persons to join our team in the capacity of Warehouse Supervisor.

General Purpose:

In this role, the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the efficient receipt, storage value adding servicing nd dispatch of finished goods. e/She will also be responsible for managing people, processes and systems to ensure stock accuracy and productivity target are met and oversee the maintenance of warehouse and labour management systems.

Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to :

  • All warehouse facilities are opened, operating, and closed at the designated times on the required days and keys are kept in secured locations and are used only for authorized business purposes.
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data systems. 
  • Inventory is received promptly, checked for accurate quantities, and stored securely.
  • Monitors and controls warehouse staff by assisting with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • The efficient utilization of space and mechanical handling equipment, ensuring quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met.
  • Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment. Facilities are kept within company standards, sanitary and clean.
  • Maintains and controls the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. 
  • Optimizes the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new layouts.
  • Ensures compliance with statutory regulations regarding warehousing, material handling and safety by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. 
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. 
  • All equipment needed is available, checked daily and malfunctioning equipment is immediately reported.
  • All orders are picked correctly, checked against invoices for accuracy and loaded for delivery.
  • Products are selected to meet customers’ requirements and are loaded onto delivery vehicles in time for the next scheduled delivery.
  • Proper records are kept of all deliveries outward and inward bound.
  • Ongoing communication is maintained with the shipping authorities/ Pant/ internal & external customs/Fleet & Logistics prior to the arrival of the shipments or clearance of containers/trailers to ensure that arrivals are on schedule.
  • Ensure that the de-stuffing of containers is done in a cost-efficient manner, including ensuring that containers are de-stuffed during the day.

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or related discipline. In addition, he/she also needs knowledge of work systems, standard operation procedures and policies for a warehouse environment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role preferably in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment.
