Overview

As the Senior Accounting Specialist, you will prepare financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, oversee audits, and develop paperwork for regulatory reporting. Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of professional accounting experience with a track record for providing accurate and efficient work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Prepare and transmit client billing and invoices
  • Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Provide support with payroll preparation and related processes
  • Analyze expenses to evaluate cost saving opportunities
  • Develop recommendations to optimize company’s accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies
  • Resolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Any other duties related to the full accounting cycle

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts or Finance
  • Professional Certification a plus (ACCA, CPA)
  • At least 5 years professional accounting experience
  • Previous experience with full charge bookkeeping preferred
  • Certified in QuickBooks online and Xero or proven knowledge and experience using same
  • The ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to remain organized and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a team and be a self-starter
  • Ability to think critically and exercise sound judgement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to proficiently manage multiple deadlines
  • Can provide a commitment of 2 year and seeking to grow with us and in their career
