Overview

A reputable retail manufacturer is looking for a dynamic and strategic SALES AND MARKETING  MANAGER. This role is perfectly suited for a professional passionate about driving market expansion in the  construction industry. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive sales strategies, leading and  motivating a diverse team, and forging strong relationships with architects, contractors, government  agencies, corporate clients and DIY enthusiasts.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Devise and execute annual sales and marketing plans with targeted budgets and advertising  campaigns that emphasize product durability, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and adapt to market  shifts. 
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate sales and dispatch teams through regular performance  assessments and training sessions on product specifications and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical and production teams to showcase product features and develop  effective promotional materials. 
  • Build and sustain long-term partnerships with architects, building contractors, welders, engineers,  DIY enthusiasts, and government agencies. 
  • Oversee and assess major project quotations to ensure technical accuracy and commercial  viability. 
  • Coordinate with sales administration and dispatch teams to manage inventory and ensure timely  delivery of products. 
  • Organize and participate in industry trade shows, product demonstrations, and client meetings both  locally and overseas for business expansion. 

Candidate Profile 

  • Proven Sales & Marketing Leadership: Demonstrated ability to exceed targets preferably within  the roofing, construction, or building materials sectors. 
  • Excellent Communication & Technical Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation abilities  with the capacity to explain complex technical details clearly. 
  • Strategic & Data-Driven: Ability to develop innovative, data-informed sales strategies while  adapting rapidly to market changes and industry regulations. 
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, familiarization with CRM systems, and  point-of-sale software. 
  • Self-Motivated & Adaptable: A proactive leader, comfortable working independently in a fast paced, competitive environment.

Educational Qualifications: 

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction  Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Demonstrated practical experience in the construction or  roofing industry. 

Preferred Education: A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc in Marketing, or Construction Management) from a  recognized institution; Professional certifications or diplomas in Sales & Marketing or technical training  related to roofing and construction materials.
