AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:The incumbent will be responsible for entrance control of materials, and conducting of chemical, physical and sensory analyses to ensure product conformance to specifications at all stages of production.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participating and adhering to all safety, health and environmental policies of the Company.
- Quality monitoring of all production processes, from intake of materials to the finished product store.
- Conducting entrance control procedures for raw and packaging material.
- Ensuring that all HACCP and Lab Star System procedures and Schedules are maintained.
- Be conversant with relevant ISO and HACCP procedures and requirements in work area.
- Understand the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System/ Lab Star in relation to continuous improvement, control of document, control of records measurement and analysis improvement.
- Carrying out first line maintenance of the equipment in the laboratory.
- Promptly reporting any unusual occurrences or trends in analyses/product processing for corrective action.
- Adopt TPM methodology in solving problems and be participant in TPM improvement teams.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science Degree in any of the related Sciences OR
- Advanced Level qualification in Biology, Chemistry or any related Sciences
- Minimum of one-year related experience with previous employment within a laboratory environment.
- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Great Interpersonal Skills
- High Level of maturity and demonstrated ability to work independently.
