Job Description: Program & Country Coordinator – Saint Lucia Position Type: Full-Time 

Location: Saint Lucia (island-wide mobility required) 

Reports To: Operations Supervisor

Helen’s Daughters is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the livelihoods of  women in agriculture and rural communities across the Caribbean. Our work spans  capacity-building, advocacy, market access, and climate resilience. We believe that investing  in women farmers drives social and economic transformation. 

Position Summary 

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Program & Country Coordinator to lead and  implement all programmatic activities in Saint Lucia, while also playing a pivotal support  role in coordinating Helen’s Daughters’ programs across the region. The ideal candidate will  be deeply rooted in community engagement, capable of managing multiple programs, and  willing to travel across the island and occasionally regionally.

Key Responsibilities 

Saint Lucia Program Leadership 

  • Independently lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all programs and  events in Saint Lucia. 
  • Manage logistics for field activities including training sessions, capacity-building  workshops, and farmers’ markets (including Saturdays).
  • Represent Helen’s Daughters in community meetings, partnerships, and stakeholder  engagements within Saint Lucia. 

Regional Program Coordination Support 

  • Work closely with the Operations Supervisor to monitor program progress across  countries.
  • Help ensure that all country teams are aligned on timelines, deliverables, and impact  metrics.
  • Share tools, learnings, and best practices to streamline operations and scale impact.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting 

  •  Collect data, document progress, and generate reports for local activities in alignment with  MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning) frameworks. 
  • Support regional MEL activities by liaising with other country coordinators and compiling  reports. 

Administration & Budget Oversight 

  • Oversee budgets, procurement, and other financial processes related to Saint Lucia’s  activities.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, timely financial reporting, and accountability for  resources used.

Candidate Requirements 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in program implementation, rural development,  agriculture, or nonprofit work. 
  • Strong administrative, financial, and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,  PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and basic project management or database tools. 
  • Experience working with rural and/or underrepresented communities. 

Attributes: 

  • Highly mobile across Saint Lucia with a willingness to travel regularly for field activities. 
  • Must be available to work Saturdays and flexible hours as required by program demands.
  • A self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and strong sense of initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster inclusive, collaborative environments.
  • Passionate about empowering women and promoting sustainable development.
  • Fluency in the Creole language.
