Tolyn Manufacturers Ltd is seeking a motivated and proactive Production Engineer to oversee the maintenance and performance of our manufacturing plant and production equipment.

Reporting to the Manager, you will lead a small maintenance team, ensuring machinery is maintained to the highest standards through effective preventative maintenance and continuous
improvement initiatives.

This role requires strong engineering knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead the team.

Key Responsibilities
● Lead and supervise the maintenance team.
● Support and develop our preventative maintenance programmes.
● Ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
● Identify and implement improvements to plant efficiency and productivity.
● Set up and commission new equipment.
● Train and support of production operators and relevant staff.
● Coordinate maintenance activities with the Production Supervisor to minimize production downtime.
● Maintain an inventory of equipment spare parts and ensure all machinery documentation is current and organized.
● Ensure damaged or worn equipment is repaired or replaced promptly to minimize operational interruptions and maximize efficiency.
● Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes of breakdowns, and implement effective corrective actions.
● Ensure compliance with company safety standards and maintenance best practices.

Qualifications & Experience
● Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
● Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a production and/or maintenance engineering role.
● Experience in a manufacturing environment.
● Strong mechanical, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
● Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills are a bonus.
● Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop a small team.
● Self-motivated and the ability to work independently while leading and supporting others.
● Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
● Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Access.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.
