Overview
Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the resort’s Integrated Pest Control program to ensure a safe, hygienic, and pest-free environment for our guests, team members, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens, bars, public areas, gardens, and back-of-house facilities for signs of pest activity.
• Implement preventive and corrective pest control treatments in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Monitor and maintain bait stations, traps, and pest control equipment.
• Identify pest infestations and recommend appropriate treatment methods .
• Maintain accurate inspection, treatment, and monitoring records.
• Ensure the safe handling, storage, and application of pesticides and pest control chemicals.
• Respond promptly to pest-related reports from guests and departments.
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Landscaping, and other departments to minimize pest risks.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
• Maintain pest control equipment and report any defects or supply requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
• A minimum of five CXC passes (Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry and Biology will also be accepted)
• Certification or formal training in Pest Control or Integrated Pest Management is an asset.
• Previous experience in pest management, hospitality, landscaping, or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of common tropical pests and effective treatment methods.
• Ability to safely handle pesticides and related equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to work both indoors and outdoors.
• A valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
