Overview
Caribbean Grains Ltd. is seeking a multi-skilled Operations Technician to join our Feedmill Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Safely operate processing equipment, including batch mixers, hammer mills, pellet mills, bucket elevators, and conveyors.
- Mechanical Maintenance & Servicing: Execute routine preventive maintenance, precision lubrication, bearing replacements, drive alignments, and mechanical repairs.
- Fabrication & Welding: Perform basic welding and metal torching to repair when required.
- Equipment Monitoring: Regularly inspect equipment for abnormal noise, heat, or vibration during live operations.
- Basic Electrical & Controls: Assist with basic low-voltage electrical checks.
- Troubleshooting: ability to troubleshoot and diagnose machine related issues
- What We Are Looking For
- 2–3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, heavy machinery operation, or mechanical trades.
- Solid practical understanding of mechanical power transmission (gearboxes, belts, chains, sprockets, hydraulic/pneumatic systems).
- Basic working knowledge of industrial electrical safety and component troubleshooting.
- Strong physical capability (ability to climb ladders, work in elevated areas, and lift up to 50 lbs).
- High safety consciousness and attention to detail.
