JOB TITLE : SALES REPRESENTATIVE
DEPARTMENT : SALES
REPORTS TO : OPERATIONS & SALES MANAGER

Job Summary:
Under minimum supervision, maximize the sale of the Company’s goods and services, maintain and expand the Company’s existing customer base by providing exceptional quality and consistency of service as well as by targeting new sales prospects and assist in other areas of the Sales Department as needed and ensure that the Company is projected as the leader in the industry and a good corporate citizen. You must at all times pay special attention to and promote workplace safety.
Main functions:
Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to:
- Present and sell the company’s products to current and potential clients.
- Respond to all sales enquires in a professional manner and maximize sales opportunities at all times.
- Meet and surpass monthly targets
- Prepare and present weekly call reports for scheduled visits.
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- Create and maintain customer database, sales files, logs, and other documents.
- Attend and participate in sales meeting
- Present quotations for approval by the Sales & Operations Manager
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer complains in a professional manner.
- Provide the marketing department with current trends and market data, including competitive pricing, and promotions to assist in the development of the company’s marketing campaigns.
- Manage your receivables by ensuring that credit limits are not exceeded, contacting customers with overdue accounts and ensure payments are made by customers in a timely manner; ensure that temporary receipts are issued for all payments collected.
- Develop and maintain your product knowledge by continuously reviewing sales materials (brochures, flyers, price listing, etc.) thereby enabling yourself to effectively and efficiently service your customers.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation being presented is accurate and done on a timely basis.
- Provide feedback on customer’s needs.
- Maintain knowledge and information on competitive strategies and market trends.
- Ensure that a harmonious working environment is maintain at all times.
- Be alert of your surroundings at all times to ensure your safety as well as that of the Company’s property
- Perform any other job related duties as specified by the Operations & Sales Manager and/or Directors.
Minimum Requirement:
Bsc. in Management/ Engineering/ Business Administration/ Marketing
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Demonstrate a working knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of sales.
- Customer service standards and procedures.
- Basic accounting procedures.
- Working as part of an integral team considering your colleagues at all times.
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office, RMS, Using the Internet, E-mails)
- Gathering data, compiling information and preparing reports.
