Position: Loss Prevention Officer (Security)
Location: Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa is seeking a vigilant and professional Loss Prevention Officer to ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property. The ideal candidate will actively patrol assigned areas, monitor access points, and respond promptly to any security concerns while maintaining a high standard of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned areas regularly to prevent unauthorized access and ensure overall safety of the property
• Monitor and control entry of visitors, vendors, and staff, always ensuring proper authorization
• Verify guest-related information for pickups and deliveries before granting access
• Conduct security checks on staff, vehicles, bags, and equipment entering and exiting the property
• Maintain accurate logs of keys, equipment, and vehicle movements
• Identify and report suspicious, unusual, or unsafe activities promptly
• Enforce hotel policies and maintain order across all areas of the resort
• Respond effectively to emergencies, including fire, medical incidents, or disturbances
• Secure all doors, windows, and restricted areas during patrols
• Investigate incidents involving guests or staff and prepare timely reports
• Assist in conflict resolution and handle challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
• Ensure all utilities and safety systems are functioning and report any issues
• Provide courteous guidance to guests while enforcing restricted access areas
• Always represent the resort in a professional and respectful manner
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention is an asset
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports
• Physically fit and able to perform regular patrols
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to enforce rules firmly while maintaining a polite and respectful attitude
