Position: Kitchen Cook
Location: Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
Join a dynamic culinary team where passion meets excellence. As a Cook, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing quality dishes, upholding high standards, and thriving in a fast-paced resort kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare mis-en-place and food items as directed by the Team Leader
• Execute food production in accordance with company standards and recipes
• Maintain proper cooking and holding temperatures at all times
• Minimize waste through proper preparation and storage techniques
• Ensure all food items are properly labeled, covered, and dated
• Follow correct stock rotation procedures
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation and kitchen environment
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
• Report any issues to the Cook Grade 1 or Team Leader
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
• High school education or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office is an asset)
• At least 6 months’ experience as a cook or apprentice
• Multilingual skills are an asset
• Valid Health Card
• Criminal Record Clearance (mandatory)
• Minimum of six months of experience in hospitality
• Valid Food Handler’s Permit
• Strong attendance and reliability record
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail
• Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn and grow
