Overview

St. Lucia Distillers Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that our inventory levels are accurate and optimized to support business operations efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
• Track and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory counts, movements, and adjustments.
• Conduct regular and periodic physical stock counts to verify inventory accuracy.
• Reconcile physical stock counts with system records and investigate discrepancies.
• Report discrepancies to Supply Chain and Warehouse Managers and assist in issue resolution.
• Enter stock data into inventory management systems promptly and accurately.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
• Assist in preparing documentation for audits and inspections.
• Process inventory adjustments, returns, and write-offs as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company inventory policies.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of stock.
• Assist in improving inventory control processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in inventory handling.
• Support inventory-related projects, including system implementations and warehouse reorganizations. Work with the Supply Chain Logistics Supervisor to obtain cost inputs for raw materials and imported products.
• Validate invoices to ensure accurate costing of raw materials and imported products.
• Ensure all costs are recorded daily so that stock is updated in real-time.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience in inventory control, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
