Overview

St. Lucia Distillers Limited is seeking a skilled, reliable, and dedicated individual to fill the position of HVACR Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all HVACR equipment at the Distillery is properly maintained, operational, and available for use.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all HVACR units are available and operational for the efficient operation of the Facility.
• Install new HVACR equipment as required.
• Carry out, in a timely manner, all necessary preventive maintenance on HVACR equipment and components.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faulty air-conditioning units.
• Perform corrective maintenance to restore equipment to proper operating condition quickly and efficiently.
• Assist with the preventive maintenance of vehicle air-conditioning units.
• Assist with data entry and record-keeping in the CMMS.
• Work as part of a team to provide planned preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with the Company’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) guidelines.

Requirements:
• Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration Technology.
• Diploma in Engineering or a related field would be an asset.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in maintenance, preferably in HVACR or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing air-conditioning units.
• Ability to identify equipment faults and determine the appropriate repairs required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and preventive maintenance practices.
