Now Hiring: HR Officer – Employee Relations, Engagement, Compliance & Safety

Location: Saint Lucia

CPJ St. Lucia Ltd., a leading distributor of wines, spirits, food, beverage, and fast-moving consumer goods, is seeking a proactive, professional, and people-focused HR Officer – Employee Relations, Engagement, Compliance & Safety, to join our Human Resources team.

This role supports the Human Resource Manager in fostering a positive workplace culture through effective employee relations, policy compliance, employee engagement initiatives, attendance management, workplace investigations, safety administration, and employee wellbeing programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that employee matters are handled fairly, consistently, confidentially, and in alignment with company policies and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support employee relations activities, including handling employee concerns, complaints, grievances, and workplace conduct matters.
  2. Assist with workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, hearings, and related documentation.
  3. Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and return-to-work processes, and support interventions where required.
  4. Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and workplace culture initiatives.
  5. Plan and support company events, staff appreciation activities, social activities, and employee welfare programs.
  6. Manage employee surveys, feedback initiatives, internal communications, and the company newsletter.
  7. Conduct or coordinate exit interviews and stay interviews and provide insights to support employee retention.
  8. Monitor compliance with company policies, attendance requirements, health and safety compliance requirements, and workplace procedures.
  9. Maintain employee relations, disciplinary, attendance, compliance, and safety trackers and reports.
  10. Manage accident and incident reporting records and support follow-up on corrective actions and safety concerns.
  11. Liaise with managers and supervisors to ensure timely documentation, fair processes, and adherence to company standards.
  12. Serve as the Human Resources representative on the CPJ Sports, Social & Welfare Club Committee and coordinate approved employee engagement activities.
  13. Develop engaging employee communication materials, including flyers, posters, newsletters, digital content, and promotional campaigns.
  14. Create and coordinate multimedia content, including videos and employee spotlight features, to support engagement, wellbeing, recognition, and company culture initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Compliance Administration, Employee Engagement, Safety Administration, or a related role.
  • Experience supporting disciplinary processes, workplace investigations, attendance management, employee engagement activities, internal communications, or safety administration is a requirement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience using BambooHR, UKG, or other HRIS platforms would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, report-writing, organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Experience using graphic design, video editing, and content creation software (such as Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms) to develop employee communications, engagement campaigns, newsletters, presentations, and promotional materials.
