Position Overview: 

Bel Jou Hotel is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, managing kitchen sta, and designing innovative menus that reect both local and international avors. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Plan and execute diverse, high-quality menus for à la carte and buet services.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and supplier relationships. 
  • Train, mentor, and schedule kitchen sta to maintain productivity and excellence.
  • Collaborate with management on special events, themed nights, and guest feedback.
  • Uphold the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and local sourcing. 

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Formal culinary training or certication preferred. 
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills. 
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP guidelines.
  • Creative air with a passion for Caribbean and international cuisine.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing guest needs.
