Overview

Lead a Transformation in the Heart of St Elizabeth | Jamaica

We are a privately held spring water bottling company with a world-class source and a facility located away from the hustle of the city. We are looking for a General Manager who is ready to trade the corporate maze for the autonomy of a rural operation that is primed for a total transformation.

This isn’t a remote role, it’s a “boots on the ground” leadership position for someone who wants to own the entire lifecycle of a product.

The Mandate
As the primary leader on-site, you will oversee the day-to-day pulse of the plant while coining the growth strategy that will define our future. You will be responsible for the P&L, the production lines, and the culture of a team that is ready for a leader to take them to the next level.

Core Responsibilities
● Strategic Growth: Develop and execute long-term plans to scale our profitability and market presence. You will advise the Board on policy and long-range needs.
● Operational Overhaul: Direct the daily activities of production, distribution, and facility maintenance. We need someone to implement the systems that ensure efficiency and clinical quality.
● Financial & Capital Leadership: Administer operating and capital budgets, manage financial reporting, and lead capital improvement projects to modernize our equipment.
● High-Impact Leadership: Select, train, and retain a high-performing team. You will establish performance targets, provide hands-on coaching, and foster a culture of accountability.
● Resilience & Crisis Management: Lead the response to system failures or natural disasters, ensuring our “out-of-town” operation remains robust and reliable.

The Working Reality
We are a lean organization that needs a flexible leader, someone who is as comfortable presenting a persuasive proposal to the Board as they are troubleshooting a logistics delay on a Saturday or public holiday. Local travel to our customer base is required.

Qualifications & Competencies
● Experience: 5–10 years in leadership, specifically within manufacturing (beverage, food, or clean-room environments preferred).
● Education: A degree in Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.

● The “Self-Starter” DNA: You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess the grit to lead organizational change without a pre-written manual.
● Communication: The ability to present logical, data-driven recommendations to the Board while effectively coaching a diverse staff.

Why This Role?
This is the chance to move away from being a small part of a big machine and instead become the head of a growing one. You will have the autonomy to make your mark, the authority to implement your vision, and the satisfaction of seeing your strategy directly impact the success of a vital local industry.
