JOB TITLE: Electrician
DEPARTMENT: Support Services
REPORTS TO: Electrical Supervisor

The Water & Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) is seeking an experienced electrician to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring and lighting systems;
  • Develop routine maintenance schedules for all electrical and electro- mechanical plants;
  • Maintain accurate records on the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment;
  • Undertake general electrical maintenance and repairs;
  • Adhere to all established codes and specifications for the installation of all electro-mechanical plant and electrical installations;
  • Observe all standard operating procedures and work processes, as well as Health and Safety Standards;
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices;
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical components;
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual work plan;
  • Assist in the preparation of all reports and Unit’s annual budget;
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the Head of Department or Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Interpretation of electrical and electro-mechanical drawings
  • Experience in industrial electrical wiring, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Experience in pump repair and maintenance

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate/Diploma/Associate Degree in Electrical Installation from SALCC or other recognized institution.
  • Licensed Electrician. Category: 2A
  • Minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience in a similar or related field.

Remuneration
Salary shall be commensurate with the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. Application letters, along with a full curriculum vitae and references, should be submitted under the title ‘Electrician’ to the Human Resource Manager no later than Tuesday March 31, 2026.
