Overview
Barbay Ltd. is seeking a dependable, customer-focused, and safety-conscious Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, picking, and delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pick, prepare, receive, store, and issue inventory accurately using the FIFO inventory method.
• Load, transport, and deliver customer orders safely, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Assist customers with deliveries and verify goods against invoices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, ensuring proper storage and stock handling.
• Support inventory control through stock counts and inventory verification.
• Provide excellent customer service while complying with all company policies, including OSH requirements and the use of PPE.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s Licence, endorsed to drive a 2-ton truck.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Previous warehouse, inventory, or delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, honest, and team-oriented.
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
