POSITION TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR

REPORTS TO (TITLE): BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT MANAGER – OPERATIONS
Primary objective of the job:
Supervise the Business Development Operations team members and ensuring the seamless and efficient conversion of prospective clients into customers of PROVEN Bank (Saint Lucia) Limited (PBSL) during the onboarding process. Conduct ongoing analysis of onboarding performance, book – building activities, and portfolio composition and trends to support and inform PBSL’s strategic growth initiative and targets.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Oversee the review process of new customer applications to prioritize applications and distribute among staff accordingly to ensure timely and efficient conversion and turnover.
• Provide supervision, coaching, and guidance of reporting team members.
• Identify Training needs and recommend learning opportunities to upskill the team.
• Assisting in approving low and medium risk accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Liaise with Compliance to resolve documentation or onboarding issues.
• Prepare and analyse departmental reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), client onboarding metrics, and operational efficiency, providing management with actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Assist in conducting comprehensive risk assessments on client applications to ensure alignment with the banks risk appetite and regulatory standards.
• Ensure all client files and onboarding processes comply with KYC/AML regulations and internal policies.
• Continuous review of processes within the unit for increasing efficiency and optimization.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing business development reports and forecasting tools.
• Liaise with prospective intermediaries and clients as required and discuss banking products and services, onboarding due diligence requirements and ongoing operational procedures with the aim of converting interest into business.
• Provide support with preparation for conferences in terms of sponsorship, promotional items, and marketing paraphernalia.
• Assist with the promotion and launching of new products in assigned markets.

Minimum Education and Experience:
• BSc. degree in banking/finance or management from an accredited college or university
• Four years’ relevant experience working in a similar environment
• International exposure and an understanding of international business activities
• Knowledge of banking, corporate, trust, tax and anti-money laundering law required
• Knowledge of banking as it relates to the international financial services industry
• Advanced computer skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Microsoft Excel, and
PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to sell and close business interest/opportunities
• Ability to speak a foreign language, particularly Spanish, would be an asset
