About the Position
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Auto Parts Sales Associate to join our team in Saint Lucia. The successful candidate will assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories while providing knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with automotive (parts) knowledge, strong sales skills, and a genuine interest in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with identifying and selecting the correct auto parts, accessories, and products.
- Provide knowledgeable advice based on vehicle make, model, year, and customer requirements.
- Prepare quotations, process sales, and handle cash, card, and other payments accurately.
- Answer customer inquiries in person, by phone, and through other communication channels.
- Check product availability and assist with ordering parts when items are not in stock.
- Maintain accurate product, sales, and customer records.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and stock automotive parts and accessories.
- Maintain an organized and professional sales environment.
- Follow up with customers regarding special orders and outstanding requests.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock control.
- Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales and customer-service targets.
- Perform other duties related to the smooth operation of the parts department.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in auto parts sales, automotive retail, parts management, or a related field is preferred.
- Good knowledge of automotive parts, vehicles, and basic mechanical
terminology. - Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Sales-oriented with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale or inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- A valid driver’s licence would be an advantage.
