Overview
St. Lucia Distillers Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Distiller:
The successful candidate will be an operator in the fermentation process which includes the preparation of yeast and the inoculation of the media in the fermentation vessels with yeast, maintaining high levels of sanitation, monitoring, and the preparation of relevant documentation, all in accordance with standard operating procedures and the company’s food safety policy, thereby maximizing the quantity and quality of alcohol produced. Also, providing direct on-the-floor assistance to the maintenance team and maintaining a safe, organized and clean working environment.
Skills/Ability/Qualifications:
• Ability to accurately complete production logs with clear required notes.
• General proficiency at Secondary Educational Level in Mathematics, English Language, Biology and/or Chemistry.
• Ability to work at heights above 3 meters and lift/push/pull 50-pound loads unaided.
• Required to work on shift basis.
