2019 EU-FUNDED EUROPEAN JOINT DOCTORATE (EJD) PROGRAMME – MOVES – MIGRATION AND MODERNITY: HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CHALLENGES Scholarship

The Brussels School of International Studies is inviting suitably qualified persons to apply for the European Joint Doctorate Programme.  The Brussels School of International Studies is part of a five-institution consortium administering MOVES – Migration and Modernity: Historical and Cultural Challenges, a European Joint Doctorate (EJD) programme funded by the European Union.  The programme allows PhD candidates to split their three-year doctoral programme between two institutions and to undertake a six-week work placement with a non-academic partner of the programme.

In this innovative interdisciplinary programme (Social Sciences and Humanities), candidates will study contemporary migration in historical and literary perspective, drawing on historical and literary phenomena to understand current migration challenges.  Applicants are required to submit applications for two (2) areas from the fifteen topics highlighted in the brochure accessible through this link:http://projectmoves.eu/call-for-applications/
