2018 Korean Development Institute

The Korean Development Institute (KDI) School of Public Policy and Management invites suitably qualified persons to apply for scholarship opportunities to pursue graduate studies in Korea commencing September 2018.  The areas of study for which applicants will be considered are:

  • Master of Public Policy
  • Master of Development Policy
  • Master of Public Management

The concentrations for each area of study are listed in the table below:

Duration

  • 1.5 years (4 semesters)
  • Coursework: 1st year at the KDI School
  • Thesis Writing: 2nd year in home country

All applicants must:

  1. be citizens of Saint Lucia;
  2. hold a Bachelor’s Degree for a minimum of three (3) years;
  3. submit transcripts from undergraduate institutions; and
  4. have at least three (3) years work experience.

Types Scholarship

1. Global Ambassador Scholarship (GAS)

  • Benefits: Full tuition and monthly stipend for most recipients
  • Eligibility: Admitted international students
  • Admissions Period: Spring and fall admissions
  • How to Apply: There is no separate application. Most international students enrolled in a full-time Master’s program will become potential candidates for this scholarship.

2.  Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship

  • Benefits: Full tuition, monthly stipend and round-trip airfare
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be currently employed in the public sector and meet one of the requirements below.
    1. Division head or higher level in the public sector
    2. Minimum 6 years of working experience in the public sector
  • Admissions Period: Spring and fall admissions
  • Additional Benefits: Specialized core courses and seminars in development issues
  • How to Apply: Applicants must complete and submit an online application for Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship and submit all the required documents including an employment verification letter demonstrating the eligibility.

Please note that the Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship is awarded to a limited number of students and the GAS may be offered instead.
