Overview
Caribbean Grains Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Electrical Technician to join our Flour Mill Division.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 to 7+ years of industrial electrical experience
- Credentials: Recognized electrical or industrial electrician qualification.
- Power Systems: Strong hands-on expertise with 3-phase motors, motor control systems, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Circuit Troubleshooting: Proven experience diagnosing motor starters, contactors, overloads, relays, breakers, and control circuits.
- PLC Systems: Solid ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, including PLC inputs, outputs, and control circuits.
- Technical Documentation: Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring
diagrams, and control-panel drawings. - Panels & Testing: Hands-on experience with industrial control cabinets and testing tools (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers).
- Safety First: Thorough knowledge of electrical safety, grounding, isolation, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operational Drive: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot independently, respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns, and work effectively under production demands.
- Document: Ability to maintain an electrical log book and provide weekly reports to the Maintenance manager.
