Join Our Team – Warehouse Assistant

A well established retail and distribution company in the north is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support our operations and ensure customers receive their products promptly and professionally. This role is perfect for someone who is reliable, detail oriented, and enjoys working as part of a team. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining inventory accuracy, assisting with deliveries, and keeping our warehouse clean, safe, and well organized. With your dedication and energy, you’ll help drive customer satisfaction and contribute to the success of a thriving organization.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the preparation of customer orders and internal transfers.
2. Assisting in moving, loading and offloading of stock from and into the warehouse.
3. Assisting in verifying goods being loaded onto delivery vehicles.
4. Ensuring stock is properly packed onto shelves, in accordance with warehouse stock locations.
5. Ensuring merchandize is clean, presentable and ready to be delivered when requested.
6. Assisting in destuffing of containers.
7. Maintaining the warehouse and products daily in an organized, clean and tidy condition.
8. Assist in providing consistent and professional delivery of products to customers and company
outlets in a timely manner.
9. Assisting with stock counts as directed by management.
10. Providing courteous and prompt service to customers as well as company employees.
11. Assisting with all sales activities as required within both the wholesale and retail sections of the
store.
12. Perform any other job-related functions which may not be stated herein but may arise from time
to time, as directed by management or your supervisor.
Required qualifications and skills:
1. Five CSEC passes;
2. Excellent Customer Service Skills;
3. Strong interpersonal skills – able to work well in a team environment;
4. Detail-oriented, with strong time management and organizational skills;
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills;
6. Good physical condition is essential;
7. Possession of a valid driver’s licence with light goods endorsement would be an asset, but not
required.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Training and development will be provided to facilitate growth within the company.
