Overview
The Legal Secretary & Office Administrator will be responsible for:
- Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Managing filing systems (both electronic and physical) and ensuring accurate record-keeping of legal and administrative documents.
- Scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and coordinating appointments and court dates.
- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, calls, and official letters.
- Maintaining office supplies, equipment, and inventory, and liaising with service providers as needed.
- Assisting with basic bookkeeping, invoice preparation, and expense tracking.
- Supporting legal staff in case preparation, including document collation and research assistance.
- Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support the effective functioning of the office.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of five (5) CXC passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications and office technology.
- Experience: At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role (secretary, administrative assistant, or office administrator).
