POSITION TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
DEPARTMENT: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
REPORTS TO (TITLE): BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT MANAGER

Primary objective of the job:
Provide support to the Business Development Department and help this unit effectively
execute the growth strategies and targets of PROVEN Bank (Saint Lucia) Limited (PBSL).

Principal Responsibilities:
▪ Timely and accurately review new client applications, ensuring that files are complete and outstanding information is followed up on.
▪ Conduct preliminary risk assessment of applications to determine alignment with the Bank’s established risk parameters.
▪ Review data entry in Core banking System to ensure accuracy
▪ Assist with regular analysis, review and report on onboarding processes, trends, KPIs and analysis of book of clients, to provide information for product development, book building strategies and business development sales initiatives and strategies
▪ Meet with potential intermediaries and clients to discuss banking products and services, onboarding processes and ongoing operational procedures with the aim of converting interest into business
▪ Work with intermediaries and other introducers on PBSL’s due diligence requirements to ensure efficient and effective opening and operation of accounts
▪ Help with preparation for conferences in terms of sponsorship, promotional items, and marketing paraphernalia
▪ Provide support with the promotion and launching of new products in assigned markets
▪ Attend local or foreign events as required and promote PBSL’s products and services
*May perform other duties as assigned and required.

Minimum Education and Experience:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university; or 18-24 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
▪ Minimum three years relevant banking/financial services experience
▪ Minimum two years of international financial services experience
▪ Ability to speak a foreign language will be an asset
▪ Knowledge of banking, corporate, trust, tax and anti-money laundering law required
▪ Knowledge of banking products as it relates to the international financial services industry
▪ Demonstrated ability to sell and close business opportunities
▪ International exposure and an understanding of international business cultures and activities
▪ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
