Overview
We are seeking an attentive, poised and professional Sales Clerk with excellent interpersonal skills preferably with a passion for fashion. The ideal candidate should also have a good grasp of standard mathematics, comfortable with numbers and dealing with cash and P.O.S. systems
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing the store upon opening, ensuring that everything is in place, clean and presentable including displays, countertops, show windows and doors and the floor.
- Greeting and assisting customers.
- Entering all sales data into the system
- Keeping accurate account of all inventory for textiles, jewelry, fragrances and gift items.
- Advising superiors of any depletions, damages, sales trends and comments from customers on all merchandise and the shop in general.
- Keeping the shop presentable at all times including including steam ironing textiles on display.
- Closing off the sales at the end of day and filing the daily reconciliation report from the P.O.S. system.
Qualifications
- Ability to stay focused on slow or fast paced days.
- Proficient in mathematics with some basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Experience would be an asset
