AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: The incumbent will support the Engineering Department in ensuring that all machines are continuously restored to basic conditions and will be responsible for the building, installation, and maintenance of all automated machinery and equipment on the Plant.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify failure modes and undertake first-time-right repairs on all electrical, electronic, and PLC faults in the safest possible manner.
• Perform input and output loop testing, wire tracing, and identification of wire components following diagrams, prints, and ladder-logic drawings.
• Detect equipment errors based on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Liaise directly with suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues; acquire material quotes and coordinate with the spare parts department where required.
• Coordinate and assist equipment manufacturers and suppliers with on-site installations of Company equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation and instructional materials for operators and team members.
• Provide training and technical support to line operators as necessary.
• Generate work requisitions for work order planning and processing where applicable.
• Ensure on-time and in-full execution of all assigned maintenance work orders.
• Embed 5S and TPM methodologies into daily Engineering activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Industrial Manufacturing Technology.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the manufacturing industry.
• High computer literacy (AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Valid driver’s license is an asset.

KEY COMPETENCIES
• Functional knowledge of general plant and equipment management.
• Electrical and electronic engineering knowledge.
• Knowledge of TPM, Six Sigma, or other lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Team-oriented.
