Overview
A well-established retail, wholesale and distribution company is seeking a dynamic and results-
driven Supervisor for its northern location, to support the seamless coordination of our warehouse and retail operations. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for driving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for the following:
1. Assist the Manager in supervising the activities of the warehouse and retail store;
2. Ensure efficient operations of the retail store;
3. Interact with wholesale customers to ensure needs are met and issues handled in an effective and professional manner;
4. Responsible for customer orders, accounts and expansion of customer base;
5. Supervise the receipt of goods into the warehouse, as well as loading of deliveries to customer and company outlets;
6. Communicate regularly and work in collaboration with relevant personnel to ensure adequate on hand supply of all company product lines are maintained in the warehouse and retail store;
7. Ensure all merchandise is effectively displayed on the retail floor,
8. Ensure the cleanliness of both warehouse and retail areas;
9. Maintain effective business relationships with existing clients;
10. Recommend changes to product mix, based on customer requests;
11. Ensure that electronic and other enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally;
12. Handle customer questions, complaints and issues appropriately and promptly;
13. Maintain health and safety measures and report any irregularities to management.
14. Train personnel on customer relations and brand guidelines;
15. Ensure that day to day staff matters are dealt with efficiently;
16. Ensure that the on-going routine cleaning, maintenance, inspection, and reporting on company premises, equipment and vehicles is in accordance with established policies;
17. Ensure adherence to the company’s established health and safety policies among all staff members of the company, as well as external service providers;
18. Facilitate a positive working environment by adhering to established and approved disciplinary and dispute resolution practices and procedures as outlined in the company’s Employee Handbook.
Required qualifications and skills:
1. Tertiary-level education.
2. Strong knowledge of warehouse and retail operations.
3. Proven capacity to supervise teams, coach staff, and foster accountability while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
4. Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
5. Clear, professional communication across outlets, departments, and frontline staff.
6. Adept at conflict resolution.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
8. Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work independently using initiative.
9. Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
11. High level of professionalism, accountability, and strong work ethic.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Training will be
