Overview
Fond Doux Eco Resort is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Landscaper / Grounds Maintenance Attendant to assist in maintaining the natural beauty and cleanliness of the resort’s gardens, pathways, lawns, and outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will help preserve the lush tropical environment that creates the unique Fond Doux experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, and landscaped areas throughout the resort.
- Trim hedges, trees, shrubs, and plants to ensure a clean and attractive appearance.
- Water plants, lawns, and garden areas as required.
- Remove weeds, fallen leaves, debris, and litter from outdoor spaces.
- Assist in planting flowers, trees, herbs, and tropical plants.
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure walkways, driveways, and guest outdoor areas are clean and well maintained.
- Assist with irrigation and drainage maintenance where necessary.
- Monitor and report pest or plant disease issues.
- Support the upkeep of the resort’s eco-friendly and sustainable landscape practices.
- Assist with setup and maintenance for outdoor events and special functions.
- Follow all health and safety procedures while performing duties.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of tropical plants and landscaping techniques would be an asset.
- Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining beautiful surroundings.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
