Overview
A well-established retail, wholesale and distribution company is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and proactive individual to join our team as an Inventory & Systems Control Supervisor. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about data accuracy, operational efficiency, and systems management.
Your responsibilities will be as follows:
1. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of inventory data, including item descriptions, units of measure, barcodes, item codes, and pricing.
2. Monitor stock levels, inventory movements, transfers, and discrepancies across all locations.
3. Coordinate and lead stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
4. Investigate inventory variances and implement approved corrective actions based on management recommendations.
5. Provide management with clear reports and analysis on inventory trends, discrepancies, and performance.
6. Act as the primary liaison for the ERP system, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
7. Support ERP system implementation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Assist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, controls, and audit requirements.
10. Train staff on inventory processes and ERP system usage.
11. Provide first-line support to system users and reinforce proper system practices.
12. Assist the Operations Manager with all inventory-related activities and other assigned duties.
Required qualifications and skills:
1. A degree or tertiary-level education would be an asset, but is not required.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and general computer applications.
3. Experience with ERP systems and inventory management processes is preferred.
4. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
5. Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work independently using initiative.
6. Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and support users.
8. High level of professionalism, accountability, and strong work ethic.
Compensation:
