Overview
The primary responsibility of this post is to facilitate the Customs clearance of goods entering and leaving Saint Lucia for the shipping department and its clients.
Key Functions
• Classify goods being imported to determine applicable duty/tax rates
• Apply for import licenses
• Prepare Customs entries in Asycuda
• Coordinate trucking and delivery of cargo to customer premises
• Facilitate examination of Cargo by Customs and Note any damages or discrepancies
Applicant Requirements
• Five (5) CXC’s with 1 or 2 passes including Mathematics and English Language
• Customs Brokerage experience is required
• Must be licensed to perform brokerage services
• Must possess Asycuda World certification
• Must hold Customs Procedures and Classification Certification
• Computer literate in at least Asycuda World and or Asycuda ++ and Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
Applicants must be a strong team player, well organized with strong numeracy and literacy skills. Excellent time management skills, able to work under pressure and to maintain a high level of accuracy and thoroughness, flexible and reliable.
