POSITION TITLE: TEMPORARY COMPLIANCE OFFICER
DEPARTMENT: RISK & COMPLIANCE
REPORTS TO (TITLE): COMPLIANCE SUPERVISOR & COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Primary objective of the job:
Provide support to the Compliance Team in executing the Bank’s compliance risk management policies,
ensuring regulatory requirements are met and testing compliance control systems.

Principal Responsibilities:
▪ Receive, assess and process trigger reviews submitted by the Client Relations team, ensuring timely escalation and documentation of findings
▪ Assist with reviewing and processing daily transactions routed to the Compliance queue, identifying unusual or suspicious activity in accordance with internal policies and AML/CFTP requirements
▪ Complete annual risk assessments assigned by the Compliance Manager, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness and adherence to established risk-rating methodologies
▪ Conduct and document batch screening assignments, verifying potential matches and escalating true matches based on internal procedures and regulatory expectations
▪ Review and assessment of onboarding applications received from PCSL, ensuring compliance with KYC, due diligence and client risk rating requirements
▪ Assist Compliance with the CRS look-back process for passive trusts and status active NFE certifications, ensuring remediation of controlling persons gaps
▪ Assist with ad-hoc and special compliance projects, ensuring high accuracy and completeness in line with internal policies and procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience:
▪ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field from an accredited university or college; a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in international banking compliance, or five (5) years of Banking experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
▪ Professional certification in Compliance would be an asset
