Overview
ACADO St. Lucia is hiring a Senior Retail Cashier (South) to join their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process sales transactions and merchandise shelves.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the store, storeroom, and freezer.
- Monitor and report on product expiry dates.
- Manage daily cash reconciliation and deposits.
- Handle telephone orders and assist with customer sales.
- Assist with purchasing goods for resale and departmental stationery.
- Manage profit center operations in the absence of the Manager or Supervisor.
- Adhere to Health and Safety standards and assist with stock taking.
Other Skills/Competencies:
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Good oral and written communication; knowledge of French-Creole is an asset.
- Excellent cash handling and upselling/cross-selling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in a business-related field; OR
- Five (5) CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English, with at least one (1) year experience in grocery, sales, or food distribution.
