Key Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly/monthly review, coding, and publishing of invoices/bills in cloud-based platform for a portfolio of clients.
- Manage the monthly close process including reconciling all transactions, accrual JEs and generating financial statements for clients.
- Prepare sales invoices on a weekly/monthly basis for a portfolio of clients.
- Set-up payments to vendors on a weekly/monthly basis for a portfolio of clients.
- For all clients, refresh bank feeds in QBO/Xero or obtain and upload bank statements to QBO/Xero if bank feed is not operational. Compare bank statement to QBO/Xero bank feed to confirm accuracy on a periodic basis.
- Manage payroll setup and weekly submission including quarterly 941 reporting.
Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelors Degree in Accounts or Finance
- At least 2 – 3 years of experience in Bookkeeping
- Ideally certified in QBO and Xero or proven experience working with these software applications
- Strong communicator – able to write and speak in English simply and clearly
- The ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work within a team and be a self-starter
- Ability to think critically and exercise sound judgement
- Can provide a commitment of 2 year and seeking to grow with us and in their career
- Good cultural fit (some traits we look for: friendly, open to feedback, respectful of other’s opinions)
