We are currently recruiting for our Nearshore BPO center in Soufriere St Lucia to service USA based businesses. Purpose of Job:
The overall duty of a Security Officer is to help maintain and protect a company’s property, employees and visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure
- Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over
- Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols
- Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities
- Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management
- Inspect the Use of Lockers and locker contents from time to time
- Do Facility rounds to observe and ensure all company protocols are being followed
- Testing security systems and, if needed, operating X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
- Inspire confidence and positively influence the behavior, actions, and thoughts of others
- Communicate unpleasant or negative information in a tactful manner
- Participate in Facility Audits and Documenting Facility Issues to be addressed
- Assist with the Movement of items into the workplace and throughout the workplace
- Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
- Be flexible, adjust quickly, and react positively to change
- Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with others and contribute as an effective staff member
- Identify and communicate obstacles to excellence
- Perform CPR or First Aid as needed
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training in Security practices is a plus
- Knowledge or, and/or experience with Physical Security practices
- Knowledge or, and/or experience with Data Privacy practices
- Knowledge of and/or experience with de-escalation techniques
- Customer service background desired but not required
- PC experience (Word/Excel) required
- Strong customer service orientation
- Exceptional Listening/Communication skills
- Must have acquired 80% or higher in Customer Service and Product Training classes
